Nickie Miles-Wildin

Nickie has a wide and varied career, from Assistant Director at Royal Exchange Theatre as part of Regional Theatre Young Directors Scheme, to having worked with Graeae in various capacities over the last 15 years, as a writer, director and workshop facilitator. Nickie is best known for her role as Miranda in the London Paralympics Opening Ceremony 2012, co-directed by Jenny Sealey.

As Assistant Director for the Royal Exchange: Mother Courage, Death of a Salesman, Frankenstein, Guys and Dolls, The House of Bernada Alba (partnered with Graeae).

As Director: The Forest of Forgotten Discos (Contact/Jackie Hagan); The Tempest at Abraham Moss (Royal Exchange Theatre); Bingo Lingo (co-director/Wild N Beets); Disability Sex Archives, Two Can Toucan (TwoCan Theatre); Nana’s Jumble (Kazzum).

As Staff Director: Mosquitoes (Dorfman, National Theatre).

As Associate Director: Mixtape (Royal Exchange Theatre); Tommy (Ramps On The Moon National Tour).

As Assistant Director: Lost and Found (GDance); Blood Wedding (Graeae/Dundee Rep/Derby Theatre); Waiting Game (Kazzum).

Nickie is an Associate Artist for Kazzum. In 2014 she co-founded TwoCan, Gloucestershire’s first professional disabled-led theatre company.
